How Tracy Anderson Helped Gwyneth Paltrow Erase Her 'Long Butt' And Flaunt Her Side Bum

Back in April Gwyneth Paltrow - or rather Gwyneth Paltrow's derrière - was the talk of Grazia HQ as the actress walked the Iron Man 3 premiere red carpet in a breathtaking Antonio Berardi gown. While the dress itself (top centre) was beautiful, what really got us talking was the sheer panel of material, which exposed the mum of two's enviable asset, namely what has now been come to be known as 'side bum'.

S.B. isn't a new phenomenon, J.Lo's been rocking it since her Diddy days, but Gwyneth hasn’t always been so willing to flash her pert behind. According to her friend and exercise guru Tracy Anderson, that's because GP once suffered from a condition she calls 'Long Butt'. This isn't the same as having 'dumps like a truck' (thanks Sisqo), a 'Long Butt' refers to a flat bottom that has no obvious shape and certainly doesn't fill out a Berardi gown.

Anderson described her first meeting with Paltrow when the problem was (ahem) ASS-essed: "She said ... 'I just had Moses — and I can’t get this weight off. I’ve never had a problem like this in my life.' She had 35 extra pounds on her. Her butt was long and she had outer thigh problems. Gwyneth is lucky because she’s really tall, so she can hide it really well in clothes, but she had significant problem areas."

Luckily Beyonce's bessie had help from internationally renowned trainer Tracy who stepped in with her method. She revealed, "I felt so badly for her, and thought I could really help. So, I agreed, and she did everything that I asked. Now, seven years later, she looks younger every year; she’s totally transformed. And she really does the work. She and I became business partners, too, because she said, 'Every woman has to have this. It’s not fair. I’ve tried everything and nothing works like this. You’re a real gift.’"

So there you have it, we have Tracy Anderson in part to thank for our current side butt obsession.
